MOVEMENT DANCE COMPANY (MDC) INFORMATION

The Movement Dance Company (MDC)  is a competitive performance team who train, dance, and excel to new heights. MDC is a pre-professional training program for those dedicated dancers (ages 6-18) who want to take a competitive track in multiple dance styles. We hold high moral and technical expectations of our MDC dancers and, in exchange, we are committed to stay current in an ever-changing dance industry and help create dedicated, humble, and team-oriented artists and leaders with everlasting memories and friendships with their dance family.

How MDC Placement is Decided

Each student will participate in Auditions within their age group. They will then be placed in an MDC group based on their age, maturity, and years of experience. Every student matures at a different rate and the primary reason for placing students in different groups is to bring together dancers who form a cohesive group with similar skill level and dancing maturity.  A 16 yr old dancer is very different from an 11 year old dancer in most cases, but if a young dancer shows extraordinary skill and maturity for their age, they may be asked to participate with a different group than their normal peer age group.  You must respect and understand this going into Auditions. Each individual is considered on his or her own merits and all decisions by the instructors/directors must be respected. All MDC placement decisions will be final.

MDC STUDENTS – 10% TUITION DISCOUNT! Students who are a part of Season 9 MDC Teams will receive a 10% Tuition Discount off Season 9 rates. *Season 10 rates subject to change. See Tuition Page for current pricing.
