At Sound Movement Arts Center, we’ve redesigned tuition to make planning for dance easier than ever.

Season 12 introduces an all-inclusive tuition model designed to eliminate unexpected fees and give families a clear, predictable monthly investment.

With your Tuition Package, you’ll enjoy:

Instead of multiple charges throughout the year (September-June), your monthly tuition covers the experiences and essentials that will make Season 12 unforgettable.

What’s Included

Your Season 12 Tuition Package includes:

A beautiful new 7,000+SF studio home featuring 4 spacious dance rooms, multiple lobby spaces with viewing windows, 5 bathrooms, easy parking and so much more!

Weekly dance classes with highly experienced, caring instructors Expanded class offerings, new and exciting styles
FREE goodie bag at registration

All June Recital costume(s), including performance tights and accessories All costume alterations, exchanges and personalized support
Spring in-studio Showcase participation
June dress rehearsal and Recital participation

Additional Items Not Included

• Dance shoes
• Required class apparel
• Recital class photos taken in May (purchasing a Photo Package is optional)
• Additional Recital Tickets beyond the 1 included Ticket (typically $25–$35 per Ticket, per show)

Joining After September?

Your Recital package costs are built into monthly tuition throughout the Season (10 months – September 2026 to June 2027).

Families enrolling after September classes start will simply pay the missed portion of the package at registration:

30 min, 45 min, 60 min classes – $25 per missed month, per dancer 2 hour long classes – $37 per missed month, per dancer
3 hour long classes – $50 per missed month, per dancer
4 hour long classes – $62 per missed month, per dancer

(This amount is due in one lump sum at registration.)

Withdrawal Policy

We require 15 days’ notice to discontinue any classes. Withdrawals must be done in person by signing a physical copy of the form. Your 15 days’ notice begins once we receive the completed withdrawal form. All automatic payments will stop after the 15-day notice period.

Students who withdraw from Recital classes will receive a refund for the Recital package portion, after receiving the withdrawal form.

Non-Attendance does NOT constitute withdrawal notice or adequate reason for not paying tuition.

Annual payments are non-refundable. If you choose to withdraw all tuition prepaid is forfeited.

Non-Recital Classes
Students enrolled in these classes will receive a $125 DSP account credit per non-recital class in March 2027.

We understand that tuition updates may feel like a big change (in addition to the new location), and we want to be transparent with our studio families.

We have not increased tuition rates since Season 9—nearly three years—despite significant increases in operating costs, including rent, utilities, insurance, payroll, and supplies.

As we move into our fabulous new studio home and continue investing in exceptional instructors, facilities, and programming, we remain committed to providing an outstanding experience and exceptional value for every dancer.
